Toyota unveiled long bed versions of its new 2007 Tundra. The Tundra Long Bed work truck will be available in both Regular- and Double-Cab versions, the latter sporting a 165-inch wheelbase and what Toyota claims to be class leading interior volume for a crew of six workers. The bed is 97.6 inches long (8′ 1?), 66.4 inches wide at the gate (5′ 6?), 50 inches wide between the wheel wells (4′ 2?) and 22.2 inches deep (1′ 10?).Toyota will offer the Tundra Long Bed pickup in basic non-metallic White, Red and Black colors. Standard grade Regular Cab models will also have heavy-duty vinyl flooring.. Toyota is also planning an upgraded SR5 model for the foreman with additional options to pamper the boss and increase his or her productivity.

Toyotaunveiled its new Auris hatchback. The new Auris is essentially a hatch version of the new Corolla for European and Japan customers, which has not yet been unveiled. 2007 Auris will be shown at the Bologna motor show in December. European sales will start in February. Auris is also being sold in Japan.
2007 Toyota Auris will be offered in three and five-door hatchback body styles with a choice of two gas engines (1.4 VVT-i with 97 hp and 1.6 Dual VVT-i with 122 horsepower) and three diesels (1.4 with 89 hp, 2.0 with 124 hp, and 2.2 D-4D with 175 hp), all of which meet Euro IV emissions standards. A wide choice of gearboxes will be available, too, including a six-speed manual transmission fitted as standard on the 2.0 D-4D 130 and 2.2 D-4D 180. A MultiMode system with paddle shift controls will be available as an option on the 1.4 D-4D 90 and 1.6 Dual VVT-i engines.

The new Toyota’s “baby” was caught testing in southern Europe. The spied SUV will be a next-generation version of the Land Cruiser (or it might be the Lexus LX?). While the Land Cruiser is offered with a wide variety of gasoline and diesel six- and eight-cylinder engines worldwide, it’s likely it’ll come to the United States, as it does currently, solely with a V-8 under the hood. But the current 4.7-liter V-8 is likely to give way to the new American-made 5.7-liter, DOHC, 32-valve, VVT-i V-8 that’s being installed in the 2007 Tundra pickup truck. In the Tundra, it’s rated at 381 horsepower, and there’s no reason to think that’ll change much in the Land Cruiser. And as in the Tundra, the 5.7 will probably be mated to Toyota’s new six-speed automatic transmission.

Photohunters caught the 2008 Toyota Sequoia in testing on public roads. The test mule get heavily camouflage, but we can see most noteworthy is the switch to an independent rear suspension, which replaces the solid live axle setup in the current Sequoia.An independent suspension offers the promise of a better ride, plus improved interior packaging, which translates to a more usable third-row seat for both passengers and cargo. Previous spy video indicates the rear seat is a power-folding 60/40-split bench.

On the SUV’s front bumper you can see sensor for adaptive cruise control.

The next generation Toyota Avensis mid-size sedan will make a debut at the 2008 Paris International Motor Show on October 2. The Toyota Avensis has been fully redesigned featuring a crispier and more dynamic styling than the outgoing model. It is rumour that new Toyota Avensis will get a new line-up of engines with lower consumption and reduced CO2 figures.

Toyota has realesed first official photos of its new Toyota Verso. The all-new Verso will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next week.The Toyota claims that the latest iteration of its MPV offers more space, comfort and practicality, and will benefit from the latest occupant and pedestrian safety features.
The Verso will be launched in the spring with new 1.6 and 1.8 Valvematic petrol engines that will have increases in power of up to 20%, while also improving fuel economy and CO2 emissions by up to 12%, compared to the current model. These will be mated with a new six-speed manual transmission as standard, with the option of Toyota’s new Multidrive S continuously variable transmission on the 1.8 unit.
A revised version of the 2.0-litre D-4D diesel will also be available, with a 2.2 D-CAT 150 engine with new six-speed automatic transmission due to join the line-up later in the year.
